The New Balance R00 and T00 Barefoot Running Shoes

We are excited to announce an upcoming release from the New Balance Minimus running shoe category. The two styles being released at the end of this year are called the R00 and T00. The NB Minimus Barefoot collection continues to push what is possible in minimal footwear. The 00 features a zero drop midsole that delivers the benefits of natural running with the protection of a lightweight trainer.
New Balance T00 Minimus Trail
New Balance has taken their popular Minimus Trail shoe and morphed it into the most exciting thing we’ve seen in barefoot this year. The new T00 incorporates a similar pod system found on the Minimus T10, but with a new ultralight and flexable design.The upper on the T00 is a seamless no-sew breathable material, providing the user with a soft and comfortable fit. While the sole uses an Acteva midsole and Vibram outsole, with an added antimicrobial treatment for keeping the shoe fresh. The new and improved features have brought the weight of the shoe down to an astonishing 124 grams for the men (MT00) and 99g for the women (WT00).

New Balance R00 Minimus Road
The New Balance R00 incorporates the same principals as the T00 but with a super breathable no sew mesh similar to the upper on the Minimus T10. They included a Revlite Midsole found in many of the cushion new balance running shoes. Revlite is an innovative foam compound providing the same responsiveness and durability of foams 30% heavier. Revlite offers a lightweight ride without minimizing construction or sacrificing underfoot cushioning or stability. We were shocked when we flipped over the shoe and saw the R00 ultising a Vibram sole; to our knowledge this is the first road specific Vibram sole on the market, other than the Vibram Five fingers. The weight is something to take note of, with the men’s R00 coming in at 181 grams and the women’s at 124 grams making them one of the lightest road shoes on the market.
